{Wink, Wink}

Last night as Jon was feeding Drew his nighttime snack, he had me come in there to see Drew's new trick. Jon was winking and Drew was trying to wink too! We laughed so hard!! All of these pics are Drew's attempt at winking...

Something else funny...tonight, after Drew's bath, I found a paci that has been in his drawer forever. Drew has never taken a paci other than a few times before his first surgery and that was when we had to hold it in for him. Well, tonight, he loved it!!!! It took him a while to "figure it out" but once he did, he couldn't get enough of it! I thought it might help strengthen his jaw muscles and make him swallow more so he wouldn't slobber so much, but after seeing the fit he threw when I took it away, I don't think I'll be giving it back. Doesn't he look cute though??

Parade Time!

Today was the annual parade in my hometown. Drew had a great time and didn't even flinch at the loud sirens or bands!

On a different note, I thought the moms of Drew's cleft friends might be interested in this pic. Drew and Jon were playing in the floor and I took this pic and later realized that you could see his repaired palate really good in it!

It's Homecoming!

We went to the homecoming game tonight. Drew had a great time "people watching" and he loved watching the band!!

Jon's Birthday

Today is Jon's birthday! We celebrated by going out to eat, then coming home to open presents and have cake! [On a side note, I ended up returning the camera Jon bought me for my birthday and ordering a new one -- which came in today! So these pics were all taken with my new Canon PowerShot. The main difference I see in this camera and what I call my "big camera" is the red eye. My big one seems to never have red eye and my old small one and now this one seem bad about having red eye -- especially on Drew. I guess I'll try it out for a few more days before I decide to keep it...OK, enough about cameras...onto birthday pics!!!]

Jon LOVED his new iPod, and for good reason since I had already loaded 3000+ songs on it for him!!

This is Drew with his two Halloween toys. He loves to make them both sing at the same time!

ENT Appt and Meeting Miss Lillie

Drew had his follow-up appointment today with his ENT doctor to check his ear tubes. He had them put in on July 10th and we were just now able to get up there for them to be checked, so luckily the doc said they looked great! Drew also had his hearing checked again and it came back normal. In addition to doing the hearing test like they did at his team visit (with the black boxes), they also tried the headphones on him. Now keep in mind that Drew is sitting on my lap in this black room and we are suppose to be very quiet so Drew can hear the "noises," but as soon as they put the headphones on him, I couldn't help but laugh! He looked so funny with them on!! I kept having to look up at the ceiling so I wouldn't laugh!!

After his appointment, we went to the mall (my mom was with me) and Drew got some more new clothes at Gymboree and Janie & Jack. I am on a mission to find the perfect outfits for our upcoming family pics and I think I may have found Drew's shirt today at J&J.

Last of all, we went to my friend Christie's house to meet her new daughter Lillie (born on 08.08.08). She is such a pretty little girl!! Drew wasn't sure what to think about her... :)

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!!

We went to a nearby pumpkin patch today. It was the first time any of us had been to one and we are hoping to make it a yearly tradition! We took a hayride to see all of the pumpkins in the field and then just had fun pulling Drew around in the wagon and picking out pumpkins. We are having really great weather right now, so it was a perfect day to be outside!!










On a different subject, my friend Braci (from my prior post) had her little boy on Monday. Here is cutie pie Kase!
