Later this afternoon, we went out to eat. Drew was, of course, looking at everyone and smiling. He will not stay forward facing in his high chair when we are out. One lady who had been talking to him stopped by our table on her way out and said that she had been drawn in by his big blue eyes. Then she asked if he had been born with a cleft lip. I told her yes, and she said that her son (who is now 30) was also born with a cleft lip. Funny how "common" it seems to me now!
Then we went to Mama Mary Kay's house to celebrate her birthday!
Drew got a "present" too -- this cute little singing frog halloween decoration from Hallmark!

His eyes get me every time too. They are just sooo blue. Glad things are going well. Adalynn sends hugs.
You're right. It seems like once you've been through the repair surgeries, it's a lot more common to run into people who've had a child a cleft, or knows someone who had a cleft. It's weird, but it seems to happen more after the repairs. LOL.
